My friend Mads and her boyfriend moved to Japan yesterday and because everyone loves a list, I’ve compiled one about things I will miss about Mads:

1. “I love you Chris Taylor. Pow pow!”
2. Her yelling “Free chips!” and clapping when we get free chips. Seriously, if I had a video it would already be on Cute Overload
3. Perving on shirtless Peter Petrelli
4. The way she has to go to the bathroom exactly at 5pm when we are about to leave
5. Taking 5 and a half days off in a row (Fine, two of those were weekends but still! 5 AND A HALF DAYS)
6. Making fun of me for wearing pearls. Yes, I was totes trying to be Julia Allison
7. Our shared obsession/infuriation at Julia Allison and Jakob Lodwick’s blogs
8. Tumblr
9. Lip dubs! One day Mads…we will do one in Paris!
10. Facebook mesaging me when we are sitting 5 metres away from each other
11. Our mutual love of Sid in Skins. It really is a wild world those crazy kids live in.
12. Thursday post Gossip Girl dissection. “I love you Dan Humphrey! Pow pow!”
13. Singing off emails/posts with xo xo a la Gossip Girl
14. Hiding in the edit suite looking at pictures of Ryan Gosling. Ryan + Rachel = love
15. Making me feel loved on my birthday when I was ditched
16. Telling me I should have bought her a flower on Valentine’s Day
17. When she drinks so much red wine and hits me*
18. Cupcakes on Pitt after work (Banana cream cheese frosting!)
19. Her shifty buying of clothes and books
20. How she gets grumpy if she doesn’t eat every couple of hours
21. Walking up the street to the station. I take the bus now because I don’t want to walk without her.
22. Lunchtime trips to Chatswood and Cookie’s
23. When she links our arms when we walk
24. Bacardi Breezers and West Coast Coolers
25. Surly Mads
26. Her faith that I have a heart. When I started to cry our last night together, her reaction was “You have tear ducts?”
27. My nickname Mi Mi which nobody else uses/ever will use
28. Her putting up with my alter ego Obnoxious Karaoke Nazi
29. When she asks me “What’s the goss?”
30. That even when both of us are acting like little shits, I know that she is and will be a inconditionally supportive and loving friend who will always be there for me
